"It always seems impossible until it's done." Nelson Mandela

To say I am excited to get finished on the house(s) is an understatement.  Damien and I took a week off and sort of re-grouped. We were both kind of getting down on the project and just having an all around tough time. We talked a lot today and feel great and are excited again about the project(s).  Our timeline for getting in side #2 is 7 weeks. We want to have our move-in weekend be Aug 14th (our 6th anniversary, by the way <3)

I can not stop looking at Pinterest for ideas for the girls rooms.  I'm really excited because Abigail hasn't seen the house at all and won't until it's complete and her room is set-up.  My mom has been collecting little dog planters for her bedroom at various flea markets and I'm really excited that we will soon be able to use them (they are stored at her house right now because our trailer doesn't have any windowsills)

The theme for her room is dogs, of course. If you know Abigail then you know she LOVES is obsessed with dogs.

Here are some fun wall hangings I'm going to order to hang in her room.

I can't even stand the thought of how adorable her room is going to be.
The dog planters are all different, but they are like this:

I have to say I'm really glad that Abigail chose something adorable and fun to be obsessed with. I got lucky there. It could be Frozen or something (Just kidding, Frozen lovers ;) )

Amelia's room is going to have a woodland theme. Here's one wall-hanging to give you an idea of what I'm thinking

I just hope my kids rooms come out as cute and fun as they are in my head.

The harder you work for something, the greater you'll feel when you actually achieve it.

I haven't posted in quite a while, but there is a good reason for that. It's been boring and slow at the house. We hit a little road block on the kitchen floor. It's taking us FOREVER to get it up. It's old vinyl and then some type of black glue-type stuff and then also some kind of cardboard and also a TON of nails. Damien's time he is able to be there is limited because of work so a lot of time he's there he's picking away at this floor. It is getting so annoying and I can't wait until it's finally up!

Another thing I did when I was there this past Saturday trying to help with the floors was move this large cabinet to the other side of the kitchen. I like it there better. Originally I was just trying to get it out the way but I think it should stay there. It looked weird above the other window.

It used to be sitting to the right of the back door, under that window.

We started getting rid of radiators, too. So far the downstairs is taken apart and some of it has been scrapped.

We really have a long way to go but each time we are there I can tell we have made some progress and we are that much closer to living in it. I can not even imagine the way that day will feel when it finally arrives.
